THANKSGIVING TABLE IDEAS FOR EASY HOSTING

Hosting Thanksgiving is fun until you remember you need enough plates, enough seats, and an actual plan for cooking the turkey 🥲

We can’t help with the turkey, but we can help with the table. We pulled together a few of our favourite goodies, with reusable pieces to keep and fun paper details to mix in.

START WITH THE TABLEWARE YOU’LL USE AGAIN 🤎

First, pick your dinner plates. Warm brown plates or ivory with a gold rim are a lovely place to start. Add gold cutlery, brown goblets, a jute runner, and you’ve already got a table you can use for Thanksgiving, and plenty of dinners after that. Bring out a cake stand for a little height. It can hold dessert later… or the rolls everyone keeps reaching for before dinner.

The dinner plates look fancy, but they’re plastic and sturdy enough to wash and use again. But if you’re ready for bed the second pie is finished? Toss the plates and take the win.

BRING ON THE PUMPKINS, TURKEYS + PLAID 🦃

With your reusable pieces in place, here’s where you can have a little fun with the paper party pieces. Think pumpkin plates, turkey napkins or a pop of plaid. Those are the little additions that make the table feel like Thanksgiving.

Layer a pumpkin plate over your dinner plate or tuck a patterned napkin into each place setting. The brown plates and jute runner work with so many fall colours, so you can mix in whatever catches your eye.

And don’t forget the smaller plates for dessert. Everyone might say they’re full, but we all know there’s room for pie.

A LITTLE FUN WHILE DINNER’S COOKING 🍂

Something to colour, something to snack on, something to pull apart with the person beside you. Colouring placemats, treat cups filled with goodies and Thanksgiving crackers give everyone a little something to do while they wait for the main event.

The placemats might be intended for the kids, but we fully support the adults joining in.There’ll be paper crowns, a few questionable jokes and probably someone colouring well into dessert.
